1. What Beautylib is

Beautylib is a booking platform that connects customers with independent beauty salons across Germany. Salons listed on Beautylib are independent businesses — they are not employees, franchisees, or agents of Beautylib, and Beautylib does not itself provide any salon services. When you book an appointment, you are entering into an arrangement directly with that salon; Beautylib facilitates the booking but is not a party to the service itself.

2. Booking is free for customers

Creating an account and making a booking through Beautylib is free — we do not charge customers a booking fee, a deposit, or any amount at the time of booking. Beautylib earns its revenue from a commission charged to salons, not from customers.

3. Cancelling a booking

You can cancel a booking at any time before your appointment, free of charge, through the website or the app. We ask that you cancel as early as you can so the salon can offer the slot to someone else, but there is currently no cancellation fee or penalty charged by Beautylib.

Beautylib's liability for cancellations and no-shows. Beautylib is a booking intermediary and is not liable for any loss, cost, or damage a salon incurs as a result of a customer cancelling a booking (with or without notice) or not attending a booked appointment (a "no-show"). This is standard practice across free-to-book platforms in this industry (comparable to services such as Doctolib) and reflects the reality that, without a deposit or booking fee, some cancellations and no-shows are an ordinary part of operating an appointment-based business. Salons choosing to list on Beautylib accept this as a condition of using the platform free of charge to their customers.

4. Your account

You must provide accurate information when creating an account, including a working phone number and email address, and keep your password secure. You're responsible for activity that happens under your account. Password requirements and other account security measures are described at signup.

5. Salon owners

Salon accounts are linked by Beautylib after we've verified the salon's identity, including its contact phone number. Owners are responsible for keeping their listed services, prices, and opening hours accurate and up to date, and for honoring bookings made through the platform. A commission is charged on completed bookings, as disclosed to each salon when they join.

6. Ratings

Beautylib does not currently display salon ratings. If we show ratings in the future, we will state where they come from.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Beautylib to make fraudulent, abusive, or repeated fake bookings, to attempt to access another user's account, or to interfere with the normal operation of the site or apps.

8. Limitation of liability

Beautylib provides the platform "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the platform, or for the acts or omissions of any salon you book with. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under German law, including liability for intent or gross negligence, or for injury to life, body, or health.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we'll let you know, e.g. by email or a notice on the site.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Germany. Mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country where you normally live remain unaffected.
